Trigger Mike Posted January 26, 2018 Posted January 26, 2018 Nothing on this earth has the same feel as the Walker when fired. Such a great feel to it .
Chili Ron Posted January 27, 2018 Posted January 27, 2018 Howdy, I take it that this is a muzzle loader. Is there a converstion to use factory ammo? I hear these are heavy, what does this one weigh unloaded? Cap and ball haven't been my interest atall. This is just such a great looking piece..... Best CR any holsters or other ????

Dusty 32263 Posted January 27, 2018 Author Posted January 27, 2018 I have a hunter holster for it. It is heavy but it is a good shooter. I got it with a conversation cylinder but I sold that awhile ago.
Dusty 32263 Posted January 28, 2018 Author Posted January 28, 2018 I don't know if the guy I got it from fired it but I shot 10 rounds through it.

I've very new to BP revolvers, please excuse my lack of education. I thought they might offer different lengths or maybe a 36 caliber.

I thought maybe you knew something I didn’t.
Doc Coles SASS 1188 Posted January 28, 2018 Posted January 28, 2018 If they made the walker in .36, I don't think you would want to carry it. It's a beast as it is in .44.
Dusty 32263 Posted January 28, 2018 Author Posted January 28, 2018 yes it is 44 cal and they have an 8" barrel they are a big gun

I'm playing with a 36 caliber 1858 remington copy, just trying to figure things out
Waxahachie Kid #17017 L Posted February 9, 2018 Posted February 9, 2018 This is a really good price for this Uberti Walker. Look at the gun sale sites, and you will see. The Walkers come with a 9 inch barrel. You can load up to 60 grains of 3F powder, in them, but that is not recommended. I load 40 grains in mine, that is plenty. I shoot a .454 lead round ball in mine, with a lubricated felt wad between powder and lead ball. Fully loaded, the Walker weighs nearly 5 pounds. It is a hoot to shoot, and an investment in fun.. Good luck with selling it. Bump to top for a fellow Walker Pard. W.K.
The Coconino Pistolero, SASS # 72432 Posted February 11, 2018 Posted February 11, 2018 You need a Walker whilst dealing with recalcitrant bartenders. Cain't buffalo someone nearly as well with a .36 Navy !
