Painted Mohawk SASS 77785
Howdy For quite a while mates here have been saying 'ya gotta get a SKB double Mohawk they are the bees knees.! Nah I'd say the Boito has served me well & does the job, why would I outlay a lot of $$ for an older gun that couldn't be that much better. Wow how wrong was I..I purchased a standard 30'' 200E a while back, now with shorter 22'' barrels, bigger bead, chambers slicked up, converted to mech trigger, the lug done so won't accidentally close..what a gun & yes leaves the Boito in the dust. Beautifully balanced, just the feel so hard to describe..it really is chalk & cheese, don't get me wrong the Boito /Stoeger are good it's just the SKB is totally different in the right ways !! The views in this post are by me for me..just thought I'd share [lol ]
Badger Mountain Charlie SASS #43172
Sometimes we just bet bowled over with something that is just done right. Good for you and your new iron. I feel that way about all of my irons, but alas, they are all virtual.
Tom Bullweed
I feel the same way about the BSS I bought in March. There are some guns that I feel that hold me up, where the gun is the slow factor. This danged shotgun makes me feel like I am the slow factor, like it has much more speed in it than I do.
Big Sage, SASS #49891 Life
The SKB and the BSS are the class of the sxs field. The SKB is a little lighter than the BSS, but both are dependable and will take the abuse we heap on our guns with flying colors. I literally wore out a Stoeger about 10 years ago. Bought 2 SKBs ( one is for backup, never gets used!) and havn't had a problem since.
Paladin Gun For Hire
I shoot a BSS and have a stock SKB 280 in the safe that needs to get Johnny Meadows treatment. Been thinking about just selling it, because the BSS is just a tank and will never fail me.

Painted Mohawk SASS 77785
Didn't know the Kumbariilites speak a different brand of English. What's cheese and chalk? FR..that's funny mate, I had a good laugh..keep forgetting that our unique Aussie slang catches a few..I could imagine what was said like -'what the hell does that mean..chalk & cheese is a comparison of 2 thinks completely different & that is what I was relating with the SKB compared to the Boito...I love the Kumbarillaites..I reckon you should be my personal 'slang moderator' & proof read my future posts for any 'what does that mean !!..take care Regards Mohawk

Badger Mountain Charlie SASS #43172
Had to look it up on the map. Not too familiar with that part of the world. Boy, looks like you got a lot of open land down there. About Forty Rod, he is a nice fellow, but don't lend him money or give him drinks.

Big Sage, SASS #49891 Life
I remember a few years back when PM ventured to our part of the world and shot our Revenge of Montezuma shoot here in the 4 Corners area. He is a sight to see in his rig! We shoot the Revenge again in a couple of weeks and a lot of his mates are here shooting with us again. They are great folks....even if they talk a little bit odd. Badger Mountain Charlie SASS #43172
I guess I don't understand the King's English either. Price you pay for being a red neck, I suppose.

Painted Mohawk SASS 77785
Dang broke my SKB stock on the w'end, didn't even notice till I took it out of the gun cart after the last stage of the day...fractured the left side of the timber.. right off it came !!It's the piece that covers the internals, about 4'' long that meets up with the back of the receiver..coulda' cried! Some Loctite & wrapping round the grip area got it up & running again till I do something permanent. Anyone have a cheap stock for a 200e..!!!!
