Utah Bob #35998
Great group. Not as innovative as the Beatles or Stones perhaps but one of the iconic bands of my youth for sure.
Four-Eyed Buck,SASS #14795
Yeah, while I was out doing my rounds this morning, it finally hit me that those lyrics weren't from the DC5. CRS strikes at the most inopportune times
Shawnee McGrutt
The drums brought back memories for me, Rogers Drums were made in Covington, Ohio. Grew up there and played Rogers, band teachers husband was president , we got to meet a few drummers in bands that used Rogers. Best drummer I met was with U.S. Marine Corps band. I took lessons from him. Still think The Rolling Stones are the greatest rock band ever. Is Rogers drums still in Ohio, or are they being made over seas? Henry T Harrison
The Beatles were just marginally talented junkies who were lucky enough to be in the right place at the right time. A year either way and they would have been just another British band, there were much better groups out there
Rye Miles #13621
The Beatles were just marginally talented junkies who were lucky enough to be in the right place at the right time. A year either way and they would have been just another British band, there were much better groups out there Amen brother!! If you listen to their early stuff their harmonies were off and some of the songs sped up in places. It drove me crazy as a drummer who played some Beatles in Top 40 bands in the 60's, 70's and 80's and 90's!!! Dave Clark wasn't much better but I think they were a more unique type band. "Because" was my first girlfriend's favorite song! It became OUR SONG….ahhhh….puppy love
Blackwater 53393
The Beatles were the most talented of the three top Brittish bands. The Stones were the edgiest of the three. DC5 was the hardest working. John and Paul were the most creative both lyricaly and arrangementwise. Mick and Keith were more funky musically. Dave and Mike smith were more mainstream and Dave was and is a business genious.
