Subdeacon Joe
I'm looking forward to the press conference where he tells us we are taking his words wrong and "explains" the proper meaning of them. It might be today (Friday) but I'm betting on Monday to give him time to meet with lawyers, spin-meisters, and public affairs weenies. Link to comment
Utah Bob #35998
Funny, we always practiced defensive tactics with firearms, batons, bare hands etc. "The firearm is used to defend the officer or citizen from a suspect intending to inflict great bodily harm", was the wording in our training maual as I recall. I guess his dept is different. Link to comment

John E. Law
My post from the other page regarding this. Can you imagine the liability he just opened his agancy to if they get involved in a shooting?? I can just see the defense now, "But your chief claims your firearm is not for defense so you must have been using it on my client as an offensive manner!" I'd hate to be in their shoes.
