Help me identify this song please:

Recommended Posts

I have a faint memory that Ronnie Milsapps recorded a song many years back and in the song, the lines are:

"From the cold rocky mountains of Denver,

I can almost see Houston from here".

Was this a Ronnie Milsapp song or somebody else. AND, what was the name of that song?

thanks

Depths of my own mind!

Could be the beginnin of a song.

"I held her close...

And kissed her lips.....

As her love probed...

the Depths of my own mind ! "

"Into the depths of my own mind"

That sounds more late 60's era psychedelia than country..

You just made me think of "Just Dropped In" by Kenny Rogers and the First Edition.

KR and the 1st Edition was a great band..I was alway a bigger fan of Kenny during that era than his later solo stuff..

I was and still am a big fan of the late '60's 'Frisco bands like the Jefferson Airplane and Quicksilver Messenger Service, and The Grateful Dead, of course..John Cippolina of QMS is one of the greatest and most unique guitarists to come out of that era..He was a huge influence on my own playing! B)

Ronnie Milsap is originally from Robbinsville, N.C.,by the way..Same area my family hails from..

Very talented musician!
