Iron Pony Posted January 24, 2011 Posted January 24, 2011 22 degrees below zero? 22 DEGREES BELOW ZERO in the Monadnock region of NH this morning according to the news and 18 degrees sub zero by my indoor/outdoor thermometer. To all you cowboys and cowgirls up in Minnesota and the plains states etc going through even lower temperatures, well dont go outside till you bundle up and check ALL your zippers. Global warming my freezing hind end.

Iron Pony Posted January 25, 2011 Author Posted January 25, 2011 Going to get all the way up to 20 above or so today. Time to strip down, cut through the ice on a local pond and go skinny dipping. Actually I'm going to Wally World to see about a small LP fired radiant heater, the weather is actually having an effect on bullet casting from what Sixgun tells me. Running two batches of 38 Snakebites through the star sizer he can tell a difference in the way the molds filled out on the days I cast them. The "cold" weather batch is actually larger then the "warm" weather ones I gave him. Figure if I even out the temperature on the porch a little not only will my toes be warmer but we will get a more consistent product. The Feb thaw cant get here soon enough as it tells all of us up here that spring is coming, not fast but on the way none the less.
