Even this statement is wrong Tobacco and tobacco-related products have a long history that stretches back to 6,000 BC. The plant today known as tobacco, or Nicotiana tabacum, is a member of the nicotiana genus -

Prohibitions: In Islam, everything considered harmful either to the body, mind, soul or society is prohibited (haram), while whatever is beneficial is permissible (halal). Islam prohibits Muslims from consuming pork, alcohol or mind-altering drugs Know thy enemy -

EIB vs CIB vs Combat Patch?
PowderRiverCowboy replied to Charlie Harley, #14153's topic in SASS Wire Saloon
Combat Patch - participation award for deploying with unit, may be a Fobbit and never leave the FOB and see combat While the CIB is awarded to infantry soldiers for participation in ground combat, The EIB is presented for completion of a course of testing. To be awarded the EIB, the soldier must complete a number of prerequisites and pass a battery of graded tests on basic infantry skills. (Combat not required) And Yes you can be awarded the CIB with out "testing" as well combat dont care how well you tested with a bore sight Then you have the CAB Combat Action Badge used for non Infantry MOS's that actually see combat fire -

I am still waiting on that winter of death I was promised years ago and has not occurred. -
We have a couple ranchers up this way because well we get alot of windy days , they wont hire a cowboy wearing a straw hat because they will spend the day chasing that hat all over instead of getting done what needs to get done .

MUSEUM MONDAY - ARTIFACT HIGHLIGHT - QUILTED GRAPESHOT During the Revolutionary War, Army cannoneers used a devastating type of ammunition, called grapeshot, to cut through lines of advancing infantry. It was made of a wooden base, called a sabot, a wooden rod, and a canvas bag filled with iron balls fixed around these wooden parts. Twine was tied around the outside to help the projectile keep its shape. It was coated with red oxide paint to prevent the shot from rusting. The finished product loosely resembled a bunch of grapes covered by a quilt, giving the projectile its name. When fired from a cannon, the bag and wooden parts would be blown apart and exit the cannon with the iron balls in a cone of destruction much like the blast of an oversized shotgun. The effective range of grapeshot was around 300 yards

The Metropolitan Water District of Southern California has announced that it will increase rates and property taxes throughout the region over the next two years as the state grapples with fundamental changes to its water supply and usage. District leaders said the increases are necessary to cover the costs of importing and treating water, as well as finance climate change adaptations to infrastructure and make up for declines in revenue due to widespread conservation efforts The district’s 38-member board voted Tuesday to raise water rates 8.5% in 2025 and an additional 8.5% in 2026. This will increase costs for 26 cities and retail suppliers that receive imported water delivered by the MWD. The budget adopted by the board also calls for doubling the MWD’s property tax assessment in its six-county area — the first such increase to its ad valorem tax rate in over 30 years. MWD will hike water rates and taxes to cover rising costs and conservation efforts (msn.com)
