  1. Haha touché
  2. Except for that fact that it is very unappealing to the eye. The "crotch holsters" are the most ridiculous looking thing ever to come out of SASS.
  3. I enjoyed it. I'll probably drop down a bit in popularity (if that's even possible) for saying this, but Lou Diamond Phillips is a much better actor than John Wayne so that really helped the movie out.
  4. I just got this email from HRA announcing some new guns and I was wondering if any are legal. The ones I am interested in are the single shot shotguns and the single shot rifles: https://www.henryrifles.com/rifles/single-shot-rifle/?utm_source=Dealer&utm_medium=email&utm_campaign=New%20for%202017 Anybody know anything about these?
  5. Dictionary definition of merchant: noun 1.a person who buys and sells commodities for profit; dealer; trader. 2.a storekeeper; retailer: a local merchant who owns a store on Main Street. 3.Chiefly British. a wholesaler. I don't see you falling into any of these categories so I disagree with labeling your service with that of merchants. Good luck to you. I think what you are offering is a valuable asset to the sass community.
  6. Politics aside, from a business standpoint it doesn't make sense to me to exclude a state that's population is more than ten percent of the country and potentially the largest customer base in the world over 5 minutes of work.
  7. Yes you do. Love my 73!
  8. I recently discovered that it's even easier for a private person to ship to California. If an ffl won't do it then go through the private party.
  9. Thanks for posting this. I just checked last week and it wasn't there yet. Now I know what my next rifle will be
  10. I like em. I generally prefer walnut to rosewood, but on your gun they look amazing.
  11. I'm going with this answer, seeing how I use his bullets exclusively.
  12. Or a springfield trapdoor, and mentioned. The one problem I had with the movie was trying to figure out what the economy of the town was. There were around 8 people living there, one being the sheriff and 4 being his son and posse. Who pays their salaries? If local taxes, then where does that money come from? Sorry, but I am part economist so it's a tough detail to overlook. Otherwise a fun movie.
  13. In my opinion it's been a smashing success. The grass stays cut and I get free goat for dinner whenever they wander too close to the fence As for biodegradable bullets, isn't this adding a few steps to the process? Doesn't all things eventually turn to lead?
  14. Smileys? I'm sorry, but I thought I was posting in a cowboy forum and not better homes and gardens. My bad
  15. Come on guys. It was just a joke. People here have no humor anymore.
  16. I just shot one for the first time last month. It had the 10 inch barrel so it wasn't that bad of a recoil to be honest. And accurate as all hell. It would be a fun "little" revolver to have for hunting or just because. Maybe a lottery gun?
  17. Just buy a Colt SAA and take it apart. It's filled with Uberti parts. At least that's what I read somewhere on the internet
  18. And a few single action army's. I've always wanted to shoot wild bunch gunfighter style with one SAA and one 1911.
  19. Well now that you mention it, that's my newest addition to the sass lineup and probably my favorite to shoot
  20. Not to split hairs, but I believe the term they use is illusionist.
  21. Me too. I got 6th place at the California state match last year and was talking to a pard at dinner that shot traditional with a better time than me and got no award. He was talking about how it helped me to be in a category of less people. I told him that I can't speak for all categories, but for FCGF, all of the hard work comes away from the match. All the times I have to rush away to clean the guns, or all of the loading of black powder, or finding the right bullets that don't foul you out or lock up your guns, or all the time in practice to be able to shoot a gun in each hand, etc. The match is just the gravy. I don't think I convinced him, but I also haven't seen him shooting in my category either.
  22. I'm tempted to buy the brass just so I have an excuse to shop for an 1876.
  23. How big is the big one? It would have to be pretty darn big to buy Colt. You'd basically have to buy up all the debt accumulated as well as make the deal big enough that the vulture capitalists will be content enough to walk away from their no risk piggy bank they've created for themselves where they get paid a handsome fee every time they broker a new deal that gets Colt in and out of bankruptcy.
  24. I recently purchased one of the new Winchesters from Mr Barleycorn and I have to say it's currently the best looking gun in the safe. The case coloring is absolutely fantastic and the wood is hands down better than anything you see from uberti. I say this as a guy that loves my uberti. But the Winchester, out of the box, is now my main match gun and the uberti is the backup. A rifle that good looking deserves to be shot and shot often.
  25. My guess would be 45 colt, 357 and 44-40 only. That's basing it off of what they did with the 73's
