  1. Yep. Played war games with BB guns; rode inner tubes, on the snow, pulled behind a car; rode toboggans standing upright with 2 others; jumped off rocks into water in pools when we didn't know the depth; jumped coal car trains for ride to next town; rode bikes downhill, blindfolded; jumped off concrete walls into 5 ft high piles of raked leaves, etc, etc......... All great adventures. I wouldn't trade any of those memories
  2. Last year, at this time, we had the opportunity to visit our Son and his family, in the third year they were stationed on Okinawa. We walked Hacksaw Ridge, the Navy HQ Underground and the Shuri Line/Castle areas..........With your eyes closed, and a bit of imagination, you can visualize the action. It is still haunting/moving to this day......

  7. I'm with Blackwater; it's a tie between Chill Wills and Slim Pickens. But, Arthur Hunnicutt would be a not too distant 3rd.
  8. Okay. We can change it. Looks like you been there, done that and got the shirt to prove it. So how about Ole Vaporizer ?
  9. Well, I've given my own guns plenty of names. And I hate tio name others' shooting irons, but let's go with "Ole Reliable" for his gun.
  10. C'mon it's a crew served sporting rifle. Hell, I wouldn't tote the ammunition to the field....

  16. #5 having grown up about 2hrs outside Philly. My older cousins all had the experience of riding the JW sky train. By the time I was old enough, it was gone.
  17. I've told this here before.........but y'all are old, so you probably forget. I had a work associate offer me a taste of Dave's Private Insanity. Pulls the bottle out of his desk drawer, puts 2 drops on a tortilla chip and says "give it a try". I raise it to my lips, they immediately go dry, as do my nasal passages......I get a tear in each eye and the hair on my neck stands up. I dropped the chip in the waste can and immediately went to the water cooler. Never saw if the papers in the waste can burst into flames.........
