Outlaw Gambler
Saturday, 8/17, Gambler's Gal and I attended our great grandson's 4th birthday party. One of his parents gifts was a plastic 6 shooter like the old Hubly and pony boys, it is a cap gun and has the orange tip on the end of the barrel and came with the typical thin plastic holster. Since I am not allowed to say the company name I can tell you it was ordered online with free delivery in a blue van. When Mom placed the order and entered her address in Wisconsin she immediately received a notification that they would not ship it to Wisconsin. She contacted her Mom and arranged to have it shipped to her and she would bring it to the party, Hold on, here is the part that I know you will say or at least think, You gotta be sh+++ing me. Her Mom lives in Illinois, and they had no problem shipping such a dangerous weapon to the most anti gun state there is. I just don't get it. I am so glad that I cancelled my account with them.

It's not the shippers fault. The state legislature made the sale of them illegal. That's why none are available in ANY store located in Wisconsin and NO online store will ship one to a Wisconsin address. Here is an excerpt from the state statute. Quote 941.2965 Restrictions on use of facsimile firearms. (1) In this section, “facsimile firearm" means any replica, toy, starter pistol or other object that bears a reasonable resemblance to or that reasonably can be perceived to be an actual firearm. “Facsimile firearm" does not include any actual firearm. (2) No person may carry or display a facsimile firearm in a manner that could reasonably be expected to alarm, intimidate, threaten or terrify another person. Whoever violates this section is subject to a Class C forfeiture. (3) Subsection (2) does not apply to any of the following: (a) Any peace officer acting in the discharge of his or her official duties. Notwithstanding s. 939.22 (22), this paragraph does not apply to a commission warden. (b) Any person engaged in military activities, sponsored by the state or federal government, acting in the discharge of his or her official duties. (c) Any person who is on his or her own real property, in his or her own home or at his or her own fixed place of business. (d) Any person who is on real property and acting with the consent of the owner of that property. This basically means that he cannot play with it anywhere except private property. Trailrider #896
We fought the Civil War over states that seceded from the Union, but is there anything that says a state can't be kicked out of the Union? If not, I've got a recommendation for several, including Wisconsin, Michigan, New Yawk, Illinois and especially Kalifornia! 1 1
Texas Jack Black
This is NOT quite true .If the fake toy has an orange tip or marked as a non firearm is can be shipped. So this a bit misleading. Actually Wisconsin has pretty good gun laws, there's just some old strange law against starter pistols. We can own SBRs, suppressors and machine guns.
