Buntline owners, show me your holsters!

Recommended Posts

Guys, I recently won a Gunbrokers auction for a Cimarron Tombstone Buntline, (pics to follow. It isn't here yet). I figure on building a crossdraw holster for it, but, since I've never had an original idea in my life, would like to see what you guys have. So SHOW ME YOUR HOLSTERS!

Cimarron sells left and right hand holsters made by El Paso saddlery when they have them in stock. I got mine from another source and then another right hand similar holster locally. So I can do left/right strong side or right strong / crossdraw. One gun is Uberti and one is Pietta.

Check the web.  You can probably find a kit to make wheels for it.  The next bigger size comes with wheels and the one after that has a limber or caisson.

BTW, this is not an original idea.  When I worked at a gun store in Anaheim a customer found a repro with a 16" barrel and a detachable wooden stock.  Being a tinker and gadgeteer, he built a set of wheels and a caisson for it.  He even rigged it to  fire with a lanyard.

He designed the caisson to be a gun cart for SASS.
