Alpo Posted July 8, 2024 Posted July 8, 2024 Does anyone have data for 32 Smith & Wesson Long using either Accurate #2 or #5? Hodgdon's website does not list those powders for that cartridge. My Accurate manual does not list that cartridge at all. Lyman Cast Bullet does not list those powders. Lyman number 48 has data for #5, but only for lightweight jacketed bullets. Speer #12 has #5 data for 100 grain full wadcutter. I'm looking for 100 grain to 115 grain lead bullet data. I have been loading this cartridge for years with Unique, but apparently Unique has changed its name to Unobtainium.

The Original Lumpy Gritz Posted July 10, 2024 Posted July 10, 2024 Is this a BP gun or built for smokeless?

Alpo Posted July 11, 2024 Author Posted July 11, 2024 You beat me to it. 27.80 for a pound? When it's 50 bucks everywhere else? And nobody has any. Because alliant has quit making reloading powders. There is, apparently, a shortage of nitrocellulose. And alliant has chosen to use all their nitrocellulose to make powders for loaded ammunition. Because the people that own alliant also own federal and CCI and I believe somebody else that I can't think of at the moment. And they can make a whole lot more money selling loaded ammunition than they can selling canister powder.
