 ........ at midnight last night .......... now we just have to convince the weather that the climate has changed and we are supposed to save up the hot days for next summer ....

Interesting. I thought Autumn started March 20, 2024, just like Spring here in the USA.

Most of the world considers the seasons to begin on the first of the months March, June, September, December.  Here in the US we get nerdy and call them on the solstices and equinoxes.

I got curious, I wouldn’t call it Alpo-ish though, and did some research. Earth is closer to the sun during the southern Hemisphere’s summer than it is during the Northern hemisphere‘s summer, up to 3 million miles closer.

i would request some of your weather in a normal year , but we have not had a normal year here - it was +55f here today and the weekend may see +60f , not at all our normal march and i love it
