Sedalia Dave
Smokehouse Creek Fire is pretty bad. It exploded in size over the last two days. Texas wildfires live updates: Huge blaze grows to 500,000 acres, forcing evacuations and cutting off power
Sedalia Dave
The fire is now the 2nd largest fire in US history. Over 1,075,000 acres or 1680 square miles have burned. Currently the fire is 3% contained. What puzzles me is it doesn’t appear that there are any air tankers assisting in fighting the fire.

Pat Riot
Ever notice that when lots of lib whackos move into an area soon after all kinds of weird sh** starts happening?
Okie Sawbones, SASS #77381
If it was Comiefornia, it would be at the forefront of every newscast. But since it is Texas, the media could care less. In fairness, it is in a pretty sparsely populated area of Texas. However there are a lot of personal stories: Most of a historic Texas ranch, on the market for $180 million, was badly burned by wildfires spreading across the Texas Panhandle, the owners said Thursday. In a statement, the owners of the Turkey Track Ranch, which contains around 80,000 acres, said an early assessment indicated that about 80% of "pastures, plains, and creek bottom vegetation" had been destroyed. The owners said the loss of livestock, crops, wildlife, and infrastructure was "unparalleled in our history."

J-BAR #18287
Probably started as an "immigrant" campfire; hence lack of media attention.
Pat Riot
Since the UN is funding illegal aliens coming across our borders perhaps the state can sue the UN over the fire damage, if the fires were a result of illegal migration. My son was a wildland firefighter and occasionally worked along the border. He said his crew would be walking into the woods and illegals were walking out. watab kid
well , a MN company Excel Energy thinks it started one of the zones with their equipment , i wonder if the lack of media coverage is because theyt were thinking like my wife that the majority of it might be illegal migrants noght fires left unattended ? we shall see what shakes out - in the meantime stay safe down there if you can ,
