lifter on new ss kit

The bottom one is the new lifter from Pioneer gun works. Why is it a bit longer than the original?

Right,  but the bottom one is from the short stroke and it’s longer.

They are made to be cut to fit your action when the kit is installed. I've had to cut everyone that I've done since he first started making them. One size doesn't fit all.

I’ve never fully understood how short stroke kits work, but it makes sense that if one side of a lever is shortened the other side has to be longer to accomplish the same things.
