Major Art Tillery Posted October 25, 2021 Posted October 25, 2021 I have came into possession of several hundred Federal 12 GAUGE Paper Hulls. I am partial to the all brass hulls myself. Wanting to post them for sale... But not even sure if anyone would be interested in them for reloading. What say you folks?
Sedalia Dave Posted October 25, 2021 Posted October 25, 2021 @CarbineCasey #4469 is looking for some. He is a good pard and helped me out when I first started SASS.
J.S. Sooner, SASS #73526 Posted October 25, 2021 Posted October 25, 2021 I have used them, loaded black powder shells. They didn't extract well from the chambers, had to pull them by hand.
watab kid Posted October 25, 2021 Posted October 25, 2021 i only reload once fired in perfect shape as they tend to take on moisture and get difficult after they have worn from use , but there are those that really like them , i once had a couple large garbage bags full
The Blarney Kid Posted October 25, 2021 Posted October 25, 2021 I use them regularly with BP. I usually get 3 or 4 reloads before I get burn through. I'd be willing to buy some from you.
Waxahachie Kid #17017 L Posted October 25, 2021 Posted October 25, 2021 Love 'em. Just purchased 600 paper hulls to trim and load up for my Parker, with damascus barrels. I use 'em in my Winchester 1887 as well. One person's trash is another person's treasure. As long as I am alive, and able to shoot, there will always be a market for them.
