Clay Watcherman
1873 Springfield Trapdoor, 32” barrel, tight lock up and a good shooter. $595 shipped CONUS. FFL to FFL. Believe manufactured in 1883 based on the serial number. I've always wondered in what way JB used this rifle? Can send more pictures if needed. Thanks for looking. Muley Gil SASS # 57795
Nice looking old TD. "I've always wondered in what way JB used this rifle?" He probably shot stuff with it.
Dusty Morningwood
Why FFL to FFL? Definitely an antique. No restrictions unless both Shipping and receiving states require.

Clay Watcherman
With regards to the FFL to FFL transfer. The rifle was taken into the state through my FFL and it must now leave my possession through an FFL. CT firearms laws are difficult.
Clay Watcherman
On shooting the trapdoor - yes I have used it for long range shoots at our local matches. We go out to 100 yards here in CT and it does ring steel.

While that seems short, many of the ranges I have shot at in the eastern US don't have the space for anything longer. Some don't even have a hundred-yard range.
