I've always wondered in what way JB used this rifle?

Can send more pictures if needed.  Thanks for looking.

Why FFL to FFL? Definitely an antique. No restrictions unless both Shipping and receiving states require.

With regards to the FFL to FFL transfer.

The rifle was taken into the state through my FFL and it must now leave my possession through an FFL.

CT firearms laws are difficult.

On shooting the trapdoor - yes I have used it for long range shoots at our local matches.

We go out to 100 yards here in CT and it does ring steel.

Are there any other markings on the metal or wood?

No markings on the wood - here are the barrel, band and buttstock marks:

While that seems short, many of the ranges I have shot at in the eastern US don't have the space for anything longer. Some don't even have a hundred-yard range.
