I feel the same about Jack Elam.

High Noon was one of the early movies of Lee Van Cleef. He was the first person shown in the movie.  Although he was seen a number of times,  he didn't have a line in the movie.   Jack Elem was the uncredited drunk in the jail cell. They shot scenes with him for a couple of days but they were all cut.

I don't recall Jack Elam in the jail cell.  Will look for him in the future when I re-watch High Noon.

RG Armstrong

I always really liked Armstrong, too. A favorite of Peckinpah's. Great in many westerns, I remember him best in Ride the High Country, a favorite movie of mine.

He lived a long life; died at 95 just a few years back.
