Forty Rod SASS 3935
a B-17 visiting our area, escorted me east bound on the 69A yesterday. She was selling flights to folks over at Love Field in Prescott and passed over me just after I left the VA hospital. Nearly 80 years old and still impressive as can be. Tex Jones, SASS 2263
Could be the Sentimental Journey out of Falcon Field in Maricopa. Just found out that the CAF has a Minnesota wing. Not too far from me. A visit is in order.
The Original Lumpy Gritz
Got a ride in her a few years back with the family. Sure made me humble to think my Mom flew them during WW2 as a WASP. OLG

Hoss Carpenter
Hey Forty Rod, A B-17 is not an Aluminun Overcast,; in those days that title went ot the C-124 Glob Master. Now that was an Aluminun Overcast. I know as I have a few hours in that bird! Cheers, Hoss C.
The Original Lumpy Gritz
Aluminum Overcast is the name of a B-17G that flies all over the country for shows and demos. https://www.eaa.org/en/eaa/flight-experiences/aluminum-overcast-eaa-b-17-bomber-tour OLG
twelve mile REB
Yes, and a wonderful bird she is rode in her twice. The first time an older gentleman got on just ahead of me and went right to right waist posistion and laid his hands on the gun. He stayed there the whole flight looking out seeing things i could only guess at. I love the nose riding out there in space what it must have been like with those black puffs all around you. Gee, what a ride.

SASS# 23321 Canelo Kid
She was at the little airport north of me the 28th-29th of January. I got some great pictures of her on the ground, missed the flyovers they do while giving rides. They usually go right over our place at about 600'. Wish I had the change for a ride, $450.
