Following up on Utah Bob's post about front stuffers, I thought I would give us a chance to show off our rolling blocks. I have a rolling block jones, myself. Below is a photo of my collection of Swedish - and one Belgian - commercial sporting rifles.

Top to bottom:

Husqvarna No. 4 in 20 Gauge Rifle

Husqvarna No. 1 in 12.7x44R

Husqvarna No. 33 in 9.5x47R

Belgian made No. 1 Action in .450-400.

We got the Three Bears. The Papa Bear, the Mama Bear, and the itty bitty Baby Bear.

Papa Bear is a Pedersoli, 45/70. Mama Bear is a Mexican Remington, 7x57mm. And Baby Bear is a #4 Remington, 22 Long Rifle, that I believe I got from you.

Yellowhouse Sam: How much is that .50-70 gonna weigh. Clearly not an offhand rifle!

Gots but one, Dusty... Argentine, I believe, in .44-77 Sharps (Ha! .43 Spanish! )

Still has lots of the original tin finish... :)

Right at 11 lbs. I wanted it to resemble the heavier buffalo rifles in Marcots book plus to dampen recoil. The 44-77 only weighs 9.5 lbs and is vicious off the bench.

Hardpan, you could claim that and not many could argue as its the ballistic twin and chamber specs often spill over into the range of 44-77.

I just too lazy to dig them out of the safe but I have a few rollers. A Navy Arms 45/70, a 7 mm Mouser, a 43 Egyptian (I think - there is no markings). I also have several other parts of rolling block rifles including a Whitney RB with nearly all the action parts.
