Abilene Slim SASS 81783
Got my new ear boosters (hearing aids) yesterday. Wow, what a difference. For the first time in decades, those characters on TV have stopped whispering and mumbling.
Yul Lose
When I got mine about a year ago I was amazed at what I had missed. I guess the best part is that Mrs. Lose and I can converse now without her having to yell or me pretend that I've heard what she said.
Noz
Wait til you go outside when the hummingbirds are squabbling over a feeder. The damn things chatter all the time.

Loophole LaRue, SASS #51438
Now that you have them, learn to maintain them. A lot of folks give up on them because they "fail" after a month or two, when the real problem is that you need to learn how to properly clean them. Do yourself a favor, and if you don't have one already, get a 4-6" magnifier mounted in a flex lamp with a bright halogen or LED fixture. The more light, the better. And then you will see the dried skin, dandruff, ear wax, dog hair, human hair, and all the rest of the junk that clogs the hearing aids and makes them seem useless. Ask your audiologist to show you how to clean your particular model. You'll be glad you did. LL
