Charlie Harley, #14153
Very cool! I don't know that I'd be able to go 20 miles onto the ice, but I'm happy for those who do.
Badger Mountain Charlie SASS #43172
I am with Charlie on that one. Twenty miles on the ices is not my cuppa of tea. How do they get the big fish through the small hole? Bassackwards, I guess. That flasher was 8" long for a reference item.
Michigan Slim
Guide it so it starts up the hole head first. Slip your fingers in the gill slit or use a gaff. Pull real hard!

Michigan Slim
Turned down a trip to the UP and Lake Huron a couple weeks ago. I just didn't have it in me to go at -20. Did it last year and got a nice case of hypothermia
Henry T Harrison
It's a two block walk to one of the best fishing lakes in Pa. You won't find me out there until ice out. I don't do cold and it was -26 here last night with a high of -5. Ice fishing reminds me of sitting in an out house looking down the hole anyway. For what it's worth Lake Erie is less than an hour from me and it's 90% frozen over. That is a spectacular sight.
