Gunner Gatlin, SASS 10274L
These things happen probably more than we ever know as the news media would rather talk about the bad than good. GG
guitar_slinger
Can't say I've ever thanked a policeman for giving me a ticket but I sure don't try to make their day any worse than it already is. Be polite, tell them the truth and tell them to have a nice day (and mean it). He/she caught you fair and square, pay the ticket, lick your wounds and move on. Marshal Mo Hare, SASS #45984
I've thanked a few officers. One officer gave me a verbal warning in a situation where he would not have been allowed to give a written warning. That was a relief. The ticket would have been a "must appear" ((( (75 in a 55, or was it 50?)
Shorty Jack Hammer
Honestly I can say I've been thanked hundreds of times by people which always surprises me, but then again I have a way of selling a ticket by reminding someone of all the other violations I'm not ticketing them for haha. I do treat everyone the way I would want an officer to treat my mother though...my first chief told me that's what he expected when hired me and I've never forgotten it

SGT. QUINCANNON, SASS #32999
A female Sacramento PD officer did me a huge favour this morning, by letting me park for a while in an area that was roped off. Must have been my manly charm, eh?
Utah Bob #35998
I forgot one. "He treated me like a common criminal" I was never sure what a common one was.
Birdgun Quail, SASS #63663
I forgot one. "He treated me like a common criminal" I was never sure what a common one was. The common ones are at the ones that die of "natural causes."
