Yellowhouse Sam # 25171
One of the things we learned recently at the Smithsonian. More patents have been issued for mouse traps than anything. I would have guessed can openers or egg beaters then maybe safety razors.
Earl Brasse, SASS #3562
I guess by 1882 percussion revolver prices were low but rats were a real problem lol It would make for a real expensive trap line. Times must really have been different to think of leaving a cocked & loaded gun just lying around. Setting it with a light enough trigger but not having an AD while setting it might have been a bit tricky.
