Marshal Dan Troop 70448
Not a great movie but get the facts correct "Johnny's father worked as a civil engineer, and his mother came from full-blooded Cherokee stock, and worked as a waitress and homemaker" BH Only his "great" grandmother was full blooded, but married a European. His grandmother on his mother side was Cherokee and European blood. So would that still make his mother coming from Full-Blooded stock? MT
Abilene Slim SASS 81783
I always watch a new western. Then I decide whether I liked it or not. I've tried to decide if I like em before I see em but I can't figger out how to do that. Whut UB said. When "Tombstone" came out, I thought it was going to be a stinker based on the trailers and passed on it. Got the DVD a few years ago and can't see it enough. Previews for "Cowboys & Aliens" looked good, but the movie was disappointing. I think a lot of folks tend to make up their minds on movies based on the politics and behavior of stars off screen. Depp for example, seems to be one of them. If liking him and others personally is a prerequisite for seeing a film, I'd never see any. My observation from my stool at the bar. Another round, please! Gunner Gatlin, SASS 10274L
+1. We need to support the making of westerns, otherwise they will die away forever. I'll watch this movie. Well....I rather hope that we can support the making of GOOD westerns (though I'll hold out judgment of this one until seen) The western die away for ever?!? - not in America pard. We may just have to start using them as rally cries to take this country back in the direction our Forefathers would be proud of. GG ~

Anvil Al #59168
I am going to go see it. Bet I will enjoy it. They did not make it for all us old grumps that grow up watching Lone Ranger. In his fruity looking suit. Old Grumps don't go spend enough money at the movies to make it count for what they want. Heck I kind of like the crow hat. Might have more meaning after you watch the movie. Ya never know. I sure am going to give it every chance. But then I find his POTC movies funny.
