Complicated Lady
I'm in a REALLY good mood! They usually wait until 5:00 am to decide if the schools are closed. They made the decision at 4:00 this afternoon sooooo I have been skipping around and smiling all evening. I'm gonna sleep late... make a big breakfast... teach my daughter how to make Butter Beans and Ham for supper.... take a nap.... check in on the SASS Saloon... ya know all the important stuff
Grizzly Dave
Enjoy yourself! Got about 6 inches of snow today, forecast low is -8, roads are icy and snowpacked, business as usual everywhere tomorrow. Then again, we should be used to it here. I think maybe you meant: Sleep late (Hah! Like THAT will really happen!) Start the coffee. Check the Saloon. Get your first cup of coffee. Respond to two threads while sipping your coffee. Make a large brunch. Browse the saloon. Teach daughter...etc.

Anvil Al #59168
Glad someone is happy about it. Lost a whole weeks income last week because of the ice. Finally get back to making some money. And it is going to hit again. It's bad enough not making anything when I take off to go to a shoot. Hate not making anything AND not getting any vacation out of it. Should be gone by this weekend. And nice on Sat and Sun. I will be headed to Oakwood to shoot Sat. Even though I could be working to catch back up. Might go ahead and work Sun. I HATE WINTER. Badger Mountain Charlie SASS #43172
I retired in 2002 and I still can't get past 0600 hours. I did have to get up at 0400 hours so I guess I am ahead of the game. Dang, I miss going to work. That and a sharp stick in my eye.
Easy Emily SASS #73673
I have a friend that lives in the Dallas area and they have to make up one of their snow days on President's Day. Somehow seems unpatriotic to me.
Yukon Charley, SASS Life #14739
Watching the DFW news channels - interstates so iced up that cars can't even move on them. Folks are just stranded on the highways with traffic backed up for miles. Sure glad I got no place to go today!!

Anvil Al #59168
Because once you are in the habit of getting up early it becomes almost impossible to sleep in. 6:10 at the latest! It's been that way for me. But the wife???? She gets up at 4am. Leaves the house at 5am. Has been for years. But if you let her. On the weekends. She can sleep till 8-9. Must admit. That here lately. I have been sleeping later than I ever have.
Bear Saint Paw
This little storm turned out be less than predicted this time. Poor weather people! It was real nasty this morning with sleet/ice until about noon-1pm, then it got warm enough to start melting on the streets and roads around my area. The morning will be bad for a little while since it will refreeze tonight but should pretty much clear out tomorrow.

Texas LawDog
We got a good coating of ice on Monday night. No school on Tuesday. The roads cleared up and we had school on Wed. The roads seem to be clear, with some icy patches. It's about 20 right now. It's hard to believe that it will be in the 70s by the weekend. Welcome to Texas. I've lived in Oklahoma and Texas all my life and this Texas weather never surprises me. I hope the Folks that are North and East of us are getting around in the bad weather. Finagler 6853 Life
Up here in the frozen north it was -18 and a wind chill of -30. We just put a light coat on over our sweaters. Maybe a hat and some gloves. Or a scarf. Normally I scoff at those in the south that whine when they get an inch of snow but this year you have my sympathy. We are used to dealing with it but you poor souls aren't prepared for it. It just ain't right. That being said, hang in there. It will melt away soon. Supposed to be in the 30s this weekend. I might work on my tan. I was in Las Vegas last week. High in the 40s. People are dressed like Nanuk of the North. I'm bopping around town in a light jacket. I guess it is all what you are used to. Stuck at home with no internet... got a lot done around the house though! ummmm how late did I sleep... stayed in bed with a silly grin on my face until 9:00... got a text message from a coworker at 4:30 am telling me "no school" (last Wednesday) breakfast.... McJoyce Sandwiches.... my version of a McMuffin sandwich mines only better because I don't have to leave the house to get it :0>
