Poppy
So for Christmas I got a 2 western movie dvd of Sam Elliott or so I thought. It has a picture of Sam in cowboy dress and it say's western on it. The 2 movies are "Gone to Texas" and "Blue River" and since i had seen some of Gone to Texas i put in Blue River and it was set in modern time and the intro's said a special appearence by Sam.... misleading and dissappointed

Prairie Dawg, SASS #50329
Yup, me too. Fortunately, it didn't cost much. Win some, lose some. --Dawg

Doc Fill 'Em 67797
Wal-mart had a big bin full of DVDs for $5 at Christmas. I think that was one I saw in there. Also, a bunch of Westerns with John Wayne that were his early ones. The Sam Elliot one I had never heard so I passed it by. Good thing, I guess. Rube Burrows
You have to be very careful when buying old movies in which you may have never heard of from Walmart. I purchased a few old movies a while back because it had on the cover Actors whom are famous. Well.....the movies may have had them in it.....when they first started out as an extra or something but the films were not staring the actor who is displayed on the box and in the staring roll. Its like they brought back all these old crappy movies and now market them to look like its a good movie cause it has a famous actor in it.....when really its just a crappy movie that they may have had a very very small roll in. Captain Woodrow Cahill, SASS # 54363
Gone To Texas wasn't all that bad. Thought Sam did a good job portraying Sam. You have to really root thru that bargain bin to find the good stuff. Picked up Appaloosa for $5 yesterday.
Smokin Gator SASS #29736
I rarely buy any of the dvd's that aren't made for one of the major movie companies. It's a pot shoot with some of those off brand dvd's. Smokin Gator
Dirty Chris
Yeah i steer clear of the DVD collections of movies I've never heard of. I figure if they were any good I would have heard of them. But the other day I looked in the $5 bin at WalMart and got season 1 of Wanted Dead or Alive, Rooster Cogburn, and Two Mules for Sister Sara. They had more good stuff but I needed to save some money for groceries.
