IMO, of all the Lightnings out there, the AWA was the worst of all. I had 3 of them, and not a one would run reliably. Was glad to be rid of them, even at a loss. Walk softly here. Save yourself some grief. Al. My 2c worth.

I have an all metal, complete trigger group for $45 + shipping. Replaced it with a high dollar Timney, which isn't too much better. -

Now this guy shows signs of genius!!! This would work for a multitude of calibers!!! Thanks for sharing. Al

Ruger didn't make any that short, it would have to be a modified one to meet your criteria. Jess' sayin'.

I know,w this has been covered at one time, but I have a pair of Uberti Open Tops that I would like the hammer spurs lowered to accommodate my arthritis. Anyone out there do this work? Thanks Al

I usually push until I get resistance, then back off and slowly come at it again, repeat until all the way down. NEVER try to do it in one pass. Usually three times does it. Like was said, don't over lube, but be sure the case IS well lubed. I use a lanilon(?) based lube. My way, not necessarily the only way. Al
-
I just use my 40-65 sizing die lightly lubed 45-70 case, and an RCBS Rock Chucker press. No sweat!! Al

No, just the shutter. No glass.

I have the one on the staff of my Soule sight. This is great info, and I will use it if called out again. Thanks for,r the info. Al

Acu, I haven't looked into the rule book, but was kicked off a side match because my rifle sight has a Merit instead of Hadley. Match Director quoted, so I dropped out, now question the decision. Al
-
I see where the Hadley style adjustable eye piece is legal for lo,ng range but the Merit adjustable iris eyepiece is not. Can someone tell me why this is? Seems to be no difference in end result, and Merit is more practical IMHO. THANKS Al

Darn!! Thanks for looking anyway . Al

Looking for a Hadley eyecup sight disc, in 10-32 for Shaver Soule sight. Anyone have one not in use? Al
