You need to call the local FedEx and get the driver's and manager's phone numbers. I called the local folks and read them the riot act after leaving a gun at our community job box five miles from my house after I had sat at home all day waiting for it. If I am not going to be home and I have a signature-required shipment, I call the driver and tell him where to leave the box and to sign for me. The manager also knows this for when my driver is on vacation.

Make sure it wasn't delivered and signed for by the driver. It happened to me. I now have the driver's phone number and will make arrangements with him when I won't be home.

I think we also need to be mindful of what we post in forums. I often see members posting their contact information in threads. It doesn't take much detective work for a scammer to find that information and use it to contact the person or impersonate someone else. Scammers can make their phone numbers appear as someone else so I would bet that the same thing can be done with emails.

I used to own a Miroku Winchester. They are high-quality rifles. They have a shorter stroke from the factory, about halfway between a Uberti factory stroke and a short stroke kit. If you plan on playing in NCOWS and SASS, be aware that NCOWS doesn't allow the Miroku Winchesters because they are already shorter stroked than the originals.
