  1. Sending you a PM. BS
  2. I had joined one of the American Legion posts in Tucson. It ended up being a place for smokers and drinkers. I put in paperwork to move to a different post, but never got a reply from them. My membership lapsed a few years back. BS
  3. I use 3F in 38 special and 2F in shotshells. BS
  4. If you look at mini splits make sure that you check the specs for the low end cooling. My Mr Cool (came with the house) will not go below 62 degrees. Good luck with your search, BS
  5. They probably didn't want the lighter box to blow away. 🫣 BS
  6. We've got 4-6" on the ground from last night's storm. I'm patiently waiting for the John Deere mowers to go on sale so I don't have to push a snow shovel anymore (think 44" snow blade attachment). Probably go on sale right before spring. BS
  7. I had some work done to a pair of OMVs by a very reputable cowboy gunsmith. They would not function. I sent them back to him - twice. Finally, I decided to send them back to Ruger to get them back to a specific standard (I had to enclose a letter with each describing what had been done to them). If I remember correctly my only cost was shipping. There's my reasoning and I'm sticking to it. BS
  8. I also have a loading table at my cart. Whether I'm at the edge of the posse or in the middle, most is common sense. Once the revolvers are charged they stay on the stand, pointing up, until they are holstered to go to the loading table. As noted capping must be done at the loading table. Enjoy, BS
  9. They're the good guys. I'll keep an eye out for the wicked witches. 🤠 BS
  10. Thank you for the correction. BS
  11. I just read that a Navy pilot is receiving the Medal of Honor for shooting down 4 (of 7) Soviet migs during the Korean War. I believe he was flying a F6F. He was alone - one vs 7. He downed 4 and made it back to the carrier. I believe I read the article on foxnews.com. BS
  12. Got the RV site reservations and will be dropping our apps in the mail today. Looking forward to this. Barry Sloe and Trizzlee now located in Iowa
  13. 31 degrees, feels like 24 with snow flurries earlier. And this is a heat wave! 🥶 See ya down the road, Barry Sloe and Trizzlee
  14. I was pumping gas (everything was full service back then) when it was 25 cents per gallon. Got back from boot camp and it had jumped to 58 cents- remember the gas shortage?? Good old days, BS
  15. So, side match awards at the dinner on Friday and main match awards after shooting and lunch on Saturday? BS
  16. When I thought about switching to BP I did a little research. Bottle neck cartridges (think 38-40 or 44-40) have minimal blow back and are therefore cleaner. I shoot 38-40 in my rifle and 44 Russian in my Ruger OMV 44 mag. No issue with build-up in either. Take your time, think about what you want, and then make the purchase. Just my two cents, BS
  17. I have two tattoos. One from Bob's Tattoo in Rhode Island and another from Johnny Two Thumbs in Singapore. One is a three masted ship with full sails. The other is a Harley Davidson emblem. I've seen some beautiful tattoos. I've also seen people that have clusters of tattoos that don't seem to have any connection (theme). BS
  18. I've got a Tombstone Pedersoli Doc Holiday model. Barrels are too short for you, but it is a beautiful SG. You may want to see what they have to offer. Luck, BS
  19. Kind of a sloppy game, but a good outcome. Go Navy, BS
  20. Farms can be tillable, pasture, and/or wooded. BS
  21. I've got one of the Mountie versions in 45-75. Nice gun, kicks like a mule. Once I get the reloading room set-up again I'll have to take out to the range (only put about 10 rounds thru it after I bought it). BS
