  1. Interesting. Boil in water for 15 minutes with a tablespoon of citric acid. He says it smells very bad. Then rinse and scrub with detergent. I think it would be a little tedious to do this with 38 special.
  2. It took 25 years but I have 14 hats, 12 of which I still shoot in, and didn't pay over $50 for any. Clearance, thrift stores, ebay, shooters quitting, etc. Did some reshaping on a lot of them. Good luck.
  3. Gonna take an awful lot of sneakin'! But based on the initial numbers, I predict 100M. His views are predominately from India, and over 2M from Bangladesh! edit: for them who don't know who we're talking about, Tha Kid (Lightning McQueen's son) is the latest viral cowboy. 50M since taking off 2 weeks ago.
  4. I continue to be in awe of how many people around the world watch these. This happened a little while ago.
  5. Nice guns. Looks like they are 4 click guns, too. You might want to remove your phone number from your post and just give it to people who PM you.
  6. Pietta doesn't make a Bisley. Maybe the gunsmith just used regular Pietta low wide hammers.
  7. Today only, code P240118 for 10% off $100 or more purchase. If you buy 10K primers and some powder, that is a lot better than free shipping or hazmat. (Federal SP are $74.99)
  8. Those are dealers selling them on Gunbroker. They probably all had backorders at Cimarron waiting for these shotguns to show up. Same thing happened a year or two ago when Cimarron suddenly got a few hundred of the 1878 Coach guns in. You find out first when you see them all over Gunbroker.
  9. They must have just come in, so you might need to wait to hear from someone who has bought one of these, and/or from a CAS gunsmith who gets one and can tell us whether or not they are worth working on.
  10. Some were sent to Lonnie Amman to fix up. The decision was made that they needed too much work, so the rest were sent back to China. That's all I know.
  11. Nope, first I've heard of them. A guess would be that these are the replacements for the ones sent back to China a year or two ago.
  12. when I first saw this topic, the G looks like a C, so it looked like SCammo.com . Nope, not buying from them!
  13. Okay! I guess she got that taken care of!
  14. There is always an exception to the rule. I don't think Bullets by Scarlet takes credit cards (unless that has changed), but then she is well known to all of us.
  15. Howdy JJ, my magazine stash is 90 miles away, but next time I'm there I'll keep an eye out for it. Do you recall what is on the cover?
  16. Sounds like you are converting a larger caliber to smaller. You probably know this but a '73 barrel will work just as well.
  17. I'm thinking you made a typo when you said you were going to try 5.5gr. Per Hodgdon, their minimum of 5.1 gr with the 105 bullet gives 689 fps. Sounds pretty good to me, I'd try that.
  18. I think that fiddle player would have been Little Gus, John Selman's grandson. That was quite some time ago!
  19. It will be at 249M before the day is over. Hoss is a legend!
  20. Very nice. Somebody could put some Colts in those if they felt like being a troublemaker.
  21. Hi Yul. That doesn't look like a High Wall so I'm guessing you meant 1886?
  22. If the target shooting you mention is on paper, then yes a hunting load could be appropriate for both. Any SAAMI spec ammo is safe to shoot in those guns. So basically, any load in a loading manual that doesn't say "for Ruger or Thompson only" will be safe. Keep the OAL under 1.6" for feeding in the rifle.
  23. No I don't, but if you want to go lighter, I'm using 14.4gr WST with 7/8 oz shot with gray wad in AA hull, Cheddite primer. I could probably go with a little less powder but that is what one of the bushings in my LoadAll drops and it feels like a LNLR to me.
