Essentially appendix holsters integrated with your suspenders and pants buttons.

In a video from Thunder Ranch, Clint Smith shows off a set of button style pant holsters. I at one point found a picture of this style of holster for a Derringer but haven't been able to relocate it. Here is a link to the video from Thunder Ranch in question.

In the book "Packing Iron" there's some information on it but I don't have the book and haven't seen those pages. Apparently popular for small pocket type pistols in the 1880 and 1890s.

 

If you know of anyone with this type of holsters or someone making them please let me know.

That's a great idea, why didn't I think of that! Local library has some of his other books but not that one. I'll see if they can loan it from another library for me.

One of the famous old west outlaw gunfighters was taken on a train by law enforcement without a fight because he couldn't draw from his suspender holster.  Can't recall just who it was.  Have to think about where I might have read about it.

and here i thought someone had the same idea i did - to add a holster and deringer to your suspenders .......i had mine made by a fine leather lady in wisconsin , no its not loaded and yes its been checked ,
