Pat Riot
Nice photo Rye We also have Mulies visit everyday. I was surprised to find we have Mule Deer here in WV. They keep eating the birdseed and I can’t figure out how to stop them so I buy corn for the deer. It helps to keep them out of the bird feeders. Somewhat. And Whitetails… Edited August 12 by Pat Riot Complete Duh-ness 2

Blackwater 53393
For about the first fifteen years that we lived here, nobody mowed the back half of the yards in the neighborhood. There was a local farmer who would come and cut the back yards three times a year for hay. There was a small herd of white tails that bedded down in the “hay field” between cuttings. I counted seven a time or two. Our place is right behind an elementary school and that strip of back yards adjoins the schoolyard, so hunting in that spot was a big NO NO! When the farmer quit cutting hay, everyone began mowing their back yards and that little herd moved on. I kinda’ miss those days!
Marshal Mo Hare, SASS #45984
There was a time about 15-20 years ago that I’d pick up the spent grains from a local brew on premises store and dump them for the local deer population in the winter. Would have a couple herds mosey by everyday. 2
Rye Miles #13621
I had some rose bushes, and some other plants along the back yard and the yard rats (deer) ate em all!! I have nothing back there now and I put up a 6’ fence to limit their access to my backyard. 3

Yep. I should have been clearer in my post. I should have said “We also have Mulies…” Editing my post. Thanks.
