They got a thing going, from the 28th of June to the 11th of August. You buy at least $40 worth of nestle stuff at one time, so it's all on the same cash register receipt, and they will give you a $20 gift card.

And I was truly surprised to find out how much stuff Nestle makes. About all of their stuff I buy is Hot pockets and Stouffer's. But they got a whole bunch of stuff.

Coffee mate. Gerber baby food.

Anyway. I decided to share the wealth.

Amazingly, I didn't see any candy bars on that list.

And, of course, while not candy bars per se, all the Tollhouse chips and bars (which I often consider as candy bar substitute).

I was thinking more along the lines of Nestle's crunch, or Baby Ruth, or Butterfinger.

I have frequently bought the bars of abuelita and ate it like it was a big Hershey bar.

Nestlé Crunch Bars are produced globally by Nestlé with the exception of the United States, where it is produced under license by the Ferrara Candy Company, a subsidiary of Ferrero.

Well!

If I were taking my time to read all of this carefully it would have taken a few hours.  Skimming through it took nearly and hour and I only found a few items I would want, but very few that I wanted but were listed in huge amounts.  Who among us really could use a pallet load of Hot Pockets, for example?

I figured it cost me much more on lost time thanI could possibly have made by taking advantage of their offer.

Since it's sorted by brand I found it pretty easy to scroll past things I had no use for, e.g. Cerelac or Gerber,  or bottled waters.   Contrarywise, see a brand like  Carnation and figure most of that brand will be included.

Heck a few Stouffers Lasagna and a box of hot pockets would almost put you there.

I heard a comedian once say the best dinner consisting of hot pockets is you heat them up then flush them down the toilet.

I eat, frequently, the bacon egg and cheese Hot Pocket. Year or two ago they come out with a pancake crust. But then my store quit selling them.

Six eight months ago my store had hot pockets on a BOGO. So I went down there and I got all of them they had in the freezer case. I got a big freezer. When it's half price, I stock up.

Then I went to their website to see if they still made the pancake crust or if they had done away with it. And I found they were having this exact same thing. So I pulled up my receipt and discovered that I had bought $50 worth of Hot pockets, only paying $25 for them. So I took a picture of my receipt and I emailed it to them, and they sent me a $20 gift card.

I got $50 worth of breakfast for five bucks. I thought that was a smoking deal.

I did not even know that Nestle's made carnation or Stouffer's or Lean cuisine (I don't eat Lean cuisine but some people do) or all kinds of other products. I was surprised to find out they made Hot pockets. I thought all they made was candy bars and Nestle's quik.

When I was growing up in the 40s and 50s my favorite snack of all was the Nestle chocolate bars.  In my opinion it beat Hershey by a mile.  As a teenager I would go to the movies and munch on two bars of Nestle chocolate and a bag of popcorn.  That was heaven!  Sadly Nestle no longer makes the chocolate bars.
