Tom Bullweed Posted June 10, 2024 Posted June 10, 2024 I bought an original 1887 about ten years ago. Knowing the brilliance of JMB, I got replacement tang screws from the more popular 1886 rifle.

Modoc Posted August 19, 2024 Posted August 19, 2024 I’ve only watched the first video, but you touched all of the key elements of the ‘87! I’m running an early Norinco (Chinwester) that’s un-modified. I’ve had every issue you mentioned, to the point that I will check my screws at the loading table every time. The funniest was pulling a shell off of the bolt and pitching it over my shoulder (didn’t eject) and hit the score keeper. 😆 An interesting side note is that there are three shooters using ‘87’s at my local club, 1 original and two reproductions.
