Last Day For Pat Sajak on Wheel Of Fortune is Today.

Recommended Posts

Pat Sajak will retire from Wheel of Fortune tonight at 7:00pm (EST). He and Vanna White took over from Chuck Woolery and Susan Stafford in 1982. Forty-two years. Wow.

I never really like Sajak, especially in the last decade or so...always thought he was a smug smartass.

Ryan Seacrest will assume the role and Vanna has agreed to stay on for a few years, for a "substantial" increase in her previous $3 million a year salary.

I'll be watching.

Wheel of Fortune began life in 1975.

Who cares??

Some people, including some on this forum, like watching game shows.

I used to watch Jeopardy when Alex Trebek was the host. I don't watch it anymore directly because I don't like the host(s) and although the game is the same...it just isn't the same without Alex.

I used to watch Wheel on occasion also but Sajak kept getting progressively more a AH as time went on and my interest waned. My gal still watches Wheel, I visit the Saloon.

One of the most boring game shows ever. Well at least that’s my humble opinion,

What a gig Sajak had for all those years! I really think most anyone could do it.

I remember him as one of the weather guessers on local TV here in Nashville, many years ago.

He wasn’t that good back then, either!

He made $14,000,000 a year being a smartass to the contestants. Heck, I do the same thing for free now...but I would do it on Wheel of a mere $7,000,000. Half price!

Where do I sign?

There's actually a lot of substance to the guy outside WOF.  Watch some interviews and/or read some articles he's written....
