Alpo
https://tortoisegear.com/product/firefly-3-pack/ It's one of those Ferro Flint fire starter rods - well actually it's a three pack of them - that's made to replace the toothpick in a Swiss Army knife. So if you have your Swiss army knife with you you've always got your fire starter. Seems a little pricey, at 5 and 1/2 bucks each. But I guess if you're lost in the woods in the cold and you ain't got a match, five bucks is cheap.
Trailrider #896
Ooh! Ooh! Ooh! I don't go many places where I would need one anymore... But I think I gotta have one for my Swiss Army Knife! Thanks for posting!
Sgt. C.J. Sabre, SASS #46770
I think that if I was going hiking and there was the slightest chance that I'd wind up not getting back on schedule, I'd carry a lighter. I already carry a bunch of stuff as my EDC, a lighter wouldn't add much to it.

I don't go out in that kind of weather, (well, actually I don't LIVE where it's that kind of weather), but if I did, I doubt that I'd be going any further that the Walmart.
