Forty Rod SASS 3935
Anyone have any experience with them? I bought my first Bearcat in about 1958 for under $30. 22LR only, very nice, very handy little gun. Over the next seven years I bought and sold a half dozen more, giving the last one to my wife when we got married. My daughter has it now and after a new finish and some tuning it still works like a new gun. I'm thinking about buying new one and want to know what makes it worth $800.00+. Any comments will be greatly appreciated.

Warden Callaway
Back when I had an FFL and Grafs was a distributor, i could have gotten a trunk full for $800.00. They were discontinued at the time and wanted rid of them.

Forty Rod SASS 3935
I'd also like to find a really nice Colt Scout .22. I bought one for my son for his 10th birthday (along with aWinchester 9422). Both were stolen 15 years later at the same time they got Thomson Center .50 Hawken rifle and his wife's wedding ring. They left her grandmothers emerald and diamond necklace with a value three times what all the rest was worth. That was a very fine collection of three guns that have never been replaced.
