Howdy the Wire!

It is with a heavy heart and great personal sorrow that I felt compelled to let the SASS  Wire Pards know

That Doc Manos (DR.Al Fritz) of Tucson, AZ passed away peacefully a few days ago after losing a fatal but hard fought  battle with Cancer .

Al was a long time Life Member of SASS and shot matches all over the country. We were very close friends as many of you  know, and  Doc Manos was a real Trooper! He fought his battle with cancer to the very end ! He had a ton of good SASS pards, and SASS was an integral part of his life for nearly 25 years. One of his great passions in Life was SASS!

He is having a private funeral service in Tucson  at an undisclosed date.
Please keep Doc in your hearts, as those that knew him will never forget him! He was as fine a Man and Friend as ever lived!

He leaves a tremendous legacy that will always be remembered!

"Ride Easy , Doc Ol' Pard...I for one, will always cherish our memories and hold you close to my heart! You were always there for me!"

Doc was the finest friend anyone could possibly hope for! He will be sorely missed!

His lifelong partner, Patti , of Tucson was with him until the end and is a remarkable lady that took care of  and loved Al for many many years; To Patti, I personally will always be indebted for her deep loving relationship with Al ( If anyone wants Patti's address to send cards (No Flowers, Please) please contact Me at rsmhd_1@charter.net)

My personal Thanks to All The SASS Pards for their kind words regarding Doc Manos!

As that famous line from 'Tombstone' quoted ..." I just don't have the words"
