Horten Ho-229

Actually as a very small boy after WWII I recall seeing one in the air.  I lived near major East Coast Army Aircorps bases that were still active in the wind down after the war.  It must have been the B 35, though there were not many flights.

Too bad they couldn’t get the cooling problems worked out the B-35 engines.  It was more laterally stable than the B-49.
