Curly Pete
A buddy of mine has a pair of Uberti SASS Pro pistols that have hammers very similar to Super Blackhawk hammers. I started thinking I would like a pair of them on my Smokewagon pistols but for a couple of reasons I do not think that is an option. So I am looking for recommendations for a gunsmith that can lower the hammer spurs on a pair of Uberti Smokewagon pistols. Any advice on this topic would be greatly appreciated. Fill Yer Hand
You can buy the lowered hammers on Taylor’s and put them in yourself. Pretty simple. https://taylorsfirearms.com/catalog/product/view/id/3392/s/uberti-1873-cattleman-new-model-frame-parts/category/175/

Curly Pete
The problem I have with buying new hammers from Taylor is my guns are the older 4 click actions and as far as I can see the only 4 click hammers that they sell now are the standard Cattleman design. Yep, the running irons won’t do. Looks like they will need to be sent out for a cut and weld.
