He is not a Doofus, although he likes to project the "dumb jock" image for laughs. Unlike many pro athletes, he has been very careful with his finances. He lives off of his endorsements, banking his salary. No Ferraris or other expensive toys. At times, he is a man-child, overly playful or silly. But no drugs, no rotating girlfriends, no sex scandals. And damn serious about his work. I agree that the USAA ad is lousy; bad for the company and bad for Gronk. Hope they fix it.
