Pick up a copy or go online and see the article Big Green for the Win. One of the interesting things is the old management group in trying to cut costs suggested to go to plain white boxes to save money. One of the brilliant board members said, "Why not just put less powder in the shells?"

That’s what happens when ownership of an ammo company doesn’t understand ammo or how it’s made.
fortunately that isn’t the case now.

The snippet is a little misleading where the financials were discussed.

The bankruptcy of Remington had NOTHING to do with the products or the staff/facilities. The holding companies that bought Remington used Remington’s good credit to fund other holdings and pay off the debts of those other holdings. They ran up huge debt in Remington’s name to pay off other debts and then defaulted on those loans. They then separated those other holdings and dropped the firearms and ammunition company into bankruptcy!!

It’s a common practice in the financial world.
