Source for SKB 100 hammers

Recommended Posts

Looks to purchase a right hammer for an SKB 100

Does anybody have a good source for these?

Thank you

How do you break a hammer? Why is there such demand?

Goody, the firing pin is the part of the hammer that breaks. The odd thing is that just about everyone that carries SKB parts have left hammers in stock, but nobody has right hammers.

LIB. My eldest SKB, I picked it up in about 2005. Probably put several thousand rounds through it and another that I picked up in about 2008. Have not broken anything but wood.

Reckon someone could machine a new firing pin into the hammer face? Seems like drill a hole, make a pin to fit said hole, drill a cross pin hole, install cross pin to hold firing pin in place.

Start here ... https://www.skbshotguns.com/shotguns/

Then the recommendation is call SKB, talk to tech support and if need be, send the action to them for repairs.  I found them most accommodating when I had firing pin issues with a model 500 O/U

There is a remote possibility the left and right hammers are the same

The left and right hammers are definitely not the same.
