DeaconKC
Hiya folks, I actually have 2 of the Rossi 92s. Both are 20" barrels, one in .38/.357 and the other in .45 Colt. I have smoothed up the loading gate razor edge on both. What other things for a new guy to look for with these rifles.
Edward R S Canby, SASS#59971
This video is recommended by many. The producer did the action job on my '92 and it is quite smooth.

Must do mods are: Changing the the ejector spring SS or brass follower LH cartridge guide bevel. (A half round jewellers file is needed for this one.) The other mods are more personal preference. I have done them all but the extractor mod. Then find out what ammo length your rifle likes. I have 4 38 / 357 and they all like 125 gr LTC bullets loaded to an OAL of 1.505 to 1.510. Your 45 will not be a picky about OAL
Prairie Dawg, SASS #50329
+1 to everything the previous gentlemen have said. NKJ's video will help you make a super-slick, super-reliable '92 --Dawg

Marauder SASS #13056
http://marauder.homestead.com/Rifles.html Not quite as good as Steve's video but it can result in a pretty slick gun - especially if you buy the replacement springs from https://store.stevesgunz.com/index.php?main_page=index&cPath=4_9&zenid=blrcpd85fhlpq84h9h4ege6mp0
