Settled on a #3, (I usually have the barber give me a #2 in winter and a #1 in hot weather) leaned over the sink and just kept going over my head until I didn't hear it cutting anymore hair. Worked great. SWMBO tells me it was almost as good as anything I came home with from the barber. Mind you, male pattern baldness may have contributed to the overall appearance and besides: The only difference between a bad haircut and a good one is about a day.
