Nellie Blue #54399 Posted January 7, 2014 Posted January 7, 2014 I would like to say "Bravo!" to the Winter Range board for bringing in experts in the era's fashions for the Costume Contest judging! "Judging will be done by Volunteers from the Barrington House Education Center." Good job, folks!
Happy Jack, SASS #20451 Posted January 7, 2014 Posted January 7, 2014 I agree Nellie, it is hard to find judges who are knowledgable in the correct fashions of the era. The costume contest should NOT be a "prettiest" or most popular contest. It needs to be judged on the correct outfit and accessories.
Larsen E. Pettifogger, SASS #32933 Posted January 7, 2014 Posted January 7, 2014 The ladies from Barrington had so much fun last year, they volunteered to come back this year and will probably bring another judge or two with them.
Creeker, SASS #43022 Posted January 8, 2014 Posted January 8, 2014 Fantastic idea - Outside judges have no stake other than getting it right. Would avoid hurt feelings and noses out of joint with judges, judging and critique.
Nellie Blue #54399 Posted January 8, 2014 Author Posted January 8, 2014 Blackjack...One of these days I'm going to make you a costume to wear and help your wife hold you down and put you in it. LOL
