Subdeacon Joe
I hate to bust your bubble, but this is the third or fourth time this has shown up on The Wire. It also made two or three thread starters over in The Saloon. I usually don't mind a couple of reposts, but it is starting to get a bit much. At least it was interesting enough to warrant taking the time out to comment on it - imagine how many poor little postings go ignored and unattended because we have no time in our busy lives to criticize them . . . . The good news is - everything posted on this site is 100% recycled electrons and no atoms are hurt or destroyed in the making of it . . . . Sixgun Shorty, SASS #35717 Life
That is very cool, and the History Channel did a segment on the L&C air rifle This is modern, but way cooler: http://www.slidefire...ct-SSAR-15.html
Lone Dog, SASS #20401
Different strokes, Shorty but I would MUCH druther have a re-pop of the L&C air rifle as that vastly over-priced slide-fire gizmo.

I must have missed the other posts, so I am glad to share it with even the one other pard who like me missed it as well. Grandma always said If you can't say something good say nothing at all . You will have to convince the museum to loan you one for research. Good luck with that.
Church Key, SASS # 33713
They are sometimes available; but pricy. A friend bought one for $1,800 in the mid-90's. He sold a Colt patterson for $9,000 to raise the cash. He also had a pair of Colt Open Top's w/ivory grips up for $25K. An interesting guy who bought the entire inventory of Gyrojet .45's when they went out of business.
