  1. If I remember correctly one of the passengers was or would become his girlfriend. kR
  2. Congratulations Ellie and Eyesa, been to long since we have seen you. Shirt an I will celebrate 55 this fall. kR
  3. If you are only using 20gs of powder you might consider upping that by 5-7gs. If you are nit getting enough blowback to clear the nipple you will have ignition problems on subsequent loadings. My wife shoots 36's and uses 20gs of 3f. kR
  4. Today is match day in Tombstone. kR
  5. My local recycler pays me more for separating the primers from the rest of the brass. Easily done just don't mix it to start with. kR
  6. Another device by the same name would probably hold a tablet or small laptop. kR
  7. Sometimes the anvil is not correctly installed and will cause the primer to stick in the pickup tube and/or cause hard seating. kR
  8. First thing I would do is slug the bore on both revolvers. If the one that is giving you a problem is larger you have your answer. It is almost a guarantee you will have leading if your bore is oversized and you are shooting hardcast. kR
  9. Aren't what? What was the question? I don't see nothin. kR
  10. Now ya did it. You'll find out. kR
  11. About the only people in my contact list with real names are family and only about 1/3 of those are in there. Maybe 10% are real names. kR
  12. I just got back from Comancharia Days. I think it was you I bought the TB from for Shirttail. If it was Thanks again. kR
  13. They also have an inexpensive screw gauge that you can buy to tell size and thread size. kR
  14. My wife uses 3.5 of TG with a 125 TC bullet. It staye a little cleaner than 3.1 or 3.2. kR
  15. Go to your local ACE hardware store. They have screws specifically for guns and the are quality screws that will fit almost every one you could want. Costa a LOT less than most other places and no shipping. kR
  16. If you shoot those cases in another 45/70 make sure you resize them for the H&R. Some times the chamber size is enough larger they will stick in an H&R. Shirttail has an Officers model Trapdoor and If I don't resize the cases from her rifle they will stick in mine. I have started checking before reloading them, if they stick in mine she gets em. kR
  17. I have experimented with loads all the way from the mid 20gs to full cases compressed with as much compression as I could get. The 47g load with the 405 govt was the most accurate in an original trapdoor with that weight bullet. The OE powder is highly polished and literally has no dust in it like most BPs. OE actually weighs less than Swiss on a measured basis, however it reacts much more favorably to higher compression than Swiss. kR
  18. Good on ya Dave. If you get a chance drop by the house today and I'll give you that drop tube. kR
  19. Was that you set up by the west door in the building where they had the swap meet. kR
  20. Again I'm trying to figure out. What is your question? OE averages 5% to 8% hotter than Swiss. If your question is do I use a filler the answer would be yes. That question was not asked. Also not asked was type of primer, wads or compression or method of compression. Once again, what is the problem you seem to be having with the amount of BP and the velocity? kR
  21. The mold I PMed you about is 105 g. kR
  22. I use wet tumbling only and they do not need any dry tumbling, they come out looking like new. kR
  23. Good idea. With cowboy loads you have a little more latitude. You want to use a wad that will give you the correct column height to get a good crimp. A lot of people will use some kind of filler (a soft light material) in the cup under the shot if the cup size is larger than you need. Like a 1 oz instead of a 3/4 oz. kR
  24. What would make you suspect a typo? kR
  25. The Rem bench rest primers should work fine. BR primers are supposed to be more consistent because of the way they are manufactured. They also cost a lot more than regular primers of the same brand. kR
