My venture into BP was with my.45’s that I was shooting. So much blowback and fouling it was awful. I switched to .44-40 and problems solved! I shot it for 8 years but finally got off the BP train. I’m shooting .38’s with smokeless now. You’ll be glad with .44-40 and real BP. Have fun!
